We’d like to integrate our existing bed into the interior design for the bedroom. It’s a Queen-sized Evan Bed and Headboard from Pottery Barn in Oat Everydaysuede. Quite a nice bed. The upholstered back is really comfy for sitting up and reading a book.

Bedroom Design 1

It would be great to find new side tables that are pretty and still house two rows of books. One row needs to be tall enough for kids picturebooks… for now. The other needs to be tall enough for hardback grown-up books.

I’m thinking that a tray ceiling would be good with maybe some flat-paneled wainscoting around the room. There are sconces on either side of the bed. Each is controlled by a switch near the sleeper.
