I want the master bathroom to have an updated feel… So, I’m patterning the design of the bath loosely on a Divine Design episode I saw called “Grant and Ayesha’s bathroom”. It’s episode 1012 on HGTV. Candice Olson (who is a design goddess) used dark brown large format porcelain tiles, cream large format porcelain tiles and wonderful stone and glass strip tile. She chose dark brown wood for the vanity and cabinets. Our mirror will span the width of the alcove where the vanity is and the lighting will be inset in the mirror. The vanity will float above the floor with flourescent lighting underneath to really highlight the floati-ness of it. There will be two undermount sinks in the vanity. Both are probably a custom job, since I can’t find the right shape anywhere.

We used obscure glass in the windows of the masterbath, so our neighbors won’t get an eyeful every morning. There’s a wonderful shower for two. And, I’d like a bath that’s more like a hot tub for two — and less like an actual bath tub. I saw something recently at Tubz, but I’m blanking on the manufacturer.
